Lights, Camera…Action!

We traveled out to sunny Los Angeles this past weekend to shoot a music video for "Petrula the Destroyer." We were greeted by the locals as heroes from the north who would free them from their LA glam rock and tight spandex pants. We told them that we were here to shoot a video and that their spandex problems would have to wait until next visit. The surfers were pissed. After a couple of bus and train rides we met up with director Behn Fannin (The Melvins, Nurses) who treated us kindly and took us under his wings (he is half man, half Falcon). We spent two days performing various acrobatic stunts and wrestling with tigers. He even made us jump 3 school busses on a moped…all for the sake of making the best music video ever! I am 132% confident that we accomplished this. I mean, have you ever seen a music video with moped jumping, tiger wrestling, and acrobatics?

Aside from the grueling physical acting and slap stick comedy, we met some really nice people who partook in the video in various degrees. They were super swell, and we give them our eternal thanks. Los Angeles cried as we were leaving, as did we…for we knew we would be leaving 70 degree weather and palm trees for 6 degree temperatures and 2 feet of snow. Oh, Minneapolis…you are such a cruel prankster. Why am I part of your sick and twisted joke?…Anyway, you can expect the best video ever to come out sometime mid-February. Until then you'll have to be satisfied with some of these still images from the shoot.
